During what has been a challenging time, the residents of Monarch Landing senior living community in Naperville have maintained their dedication to philanthropy. Our residents are so generous, and they are acutely aware of the hardship that others within our area are experiencing, said Sherry DeFillippo, lifestyle manager at Monarch Landing. We are so proud that the residents have continued to support, and in fact, have ramped up their donations to, neighbors and area non-profit organizations. Aldersgate Village, 7220 S.W. Asbury Drive, announced plans Wednesday to build two new 12-unit homes and a 60-unit apartment complex on the community s campus. These new additions are in response to the growing and changing needs of area seniors, specifically their need for modern, safe and affordable housing options, said Jerry Ney, Aldersgate Village president and CEO.
Construction of the new buildings is expected to begin this summer and will add to the 423 units already available on the community s 168-acre campus.
