Monarch Landing delivers its 340th COVID-19 vaccine at second all-day clinic

Jan. 27 was a great day for The Springs in Naperville. The health care and rehab center at Monarch Landing senior living community in Naperville delivered its 340th COVID-19 vaccination during its second all-day clinic with pharmacy partner CVS.   An initial dose had been administered several weeks ago to residents of The Springs and all staff wishing to be vaccinated. Vaccinations administered on Jan. 27 included the recommended second doses, as well as initial doses for staff deciding to participate. There was an air of great relief and excitement as staff lined up down the hall, waiting for their turn, said Mark Trnka, executive director. We ve been working so hard to make this happen, and everyone is looking forward to a time when things can return to normal. This is a very major step in that direction. Residents in independent living at Monarch Landing will have the opportunity to receive their first dose of the vaccine within the next two weeks.
