Officials told to prepare project report
The State government has granted ₹8.5 crore for the renovation of the main structure of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Antarvedi village in East Godavari district. The sand stone structure bearing various sculptures has mostly been damaged due to saline climatic conditions over the years.
Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was briefed by the endowment authorities and B.C. Welfare Minister Ch. Venu Gopala Krishna on the need for the renovation of the temple and timely assistance from the State government, during the inauguration of the new wooden chariot on February 20.
Andhra proposes names of 3 officers for state EC

Amaravati, Jan 29 : Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner (SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar is expected to take a call on a panel of three IAS officers proposed by the state government for the role of secretary in the State Election Commission.
“I furnish the following names of IAS officers to select one of them to be appointed as secretary to the state election commission as desired,” said Chief Secretary Aditya Nath Das. He proposed the names of G. Vijay Kumar, a 2001 batch IAS officer, K. Kanna Babu (2006) and P. Raja Babu (2013).
