Monday night’s Bismarck meeting also was live-streamed on the Game and Fish website for anyone wanting to attend virtually.
Among the session highlights from a Game and Fish perspective was HB 1017, the department’s budget bill, which appropriates just over $92 million to the department for the biennium beginning July 1. Gov. Doug Burgum signed the bill last week, Steinwand said.
Another significant piece of legislation signed into law was SB 2144, which gives landowners the option of posting their land through an electronic database. A 44-year-old man from Houlton, Maine, was charged with federal hate crime offenses after he reportedly burned down a predominantly Black church in Massachusetts in December 2020.
The FBI charged Dusko Vulchev with four counts of damage to religious property involving fire and one count of use of fire to commit a federal felony. According to feds, Vulchev set to fire and consequently destroyed the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Presbyterian Church in Springfield on early December 28, 2020.
Moreover, the Department of Justice (DOJ) reported that Vulchev set a number of other fires at the church; once on December 13, and twice on December 15, and went ahead to slash tires of vehicles parked at or near the church.

GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – For years, the grey-colored tower was a familiar sight for those driving along Nicolet Drive on the city’s northeast side.
But starting Monday, buildings on the Eagles Nest site are coming down.

“Now, it’s just time to get those buildings down, start with a clean slate, and go from there,” said Matt Kriese, Brown County Parks Director.
