Commerce City police shoot, kill man armed with knife

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. â A man armed with a knife was shot and killed by Commerce City officers Monday, according to the Commerce City Police Department.
The shooting happened around noon.
Officers were called to an area in the 7500 block of Brighton Boulevard in reference to a family disturbance in progress.
Upon arrival, police said officers were confronted by a man armed with a knife. At some point during the confrontation, officers opened fire, striking and critically wounding the man.
The man was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. His identity has not been released.

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. â A house party ended with gunshots echoing through a dark suburban street in Commerce City. Kristen Hoffman s camera captured those terrifying moments when people started to scatter once the shots were heard. I started screaming for my husband and laid on the floor because I was so scared. I didnât know where it was coming from or what was going on, Hoffman said.
The Commerce City Police Department says the party was winding down around 1 a.m. Saturday at 9749 Eagle Creek Parkway when someone fired several shots with dozens of people in the area.

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. â Two people were injured in a shooting late Wednesday evening in Commerce City.
Around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, officers with the Commerce City Police Department were dispatched to the area of 64th Avenue and Kearney Street. When police arrived to the area, they located a man and woman with gunshot wounds along the 6300 block of Kearney Street. They were transported to local hospitals, police said.
According to initial reports, the alleged shooter was in a white or silver sedan, police said.
