COMMERCE CITY, Colo. â An arrest affidavit obtained by Denver7 Tuesday is providing more details surrounding the shooting death of a 24-year-old burglary suspect in Commerce City early Monday morning.
William Paul Schuette, 20, was arrested following the shooting in the area of 10700 Belle Creek Blvd.
The shooting occurred as multiple male suspects were burglarizing Haraf Foods Market, a neighborhood convenience store, around 4:50 a.m., according to the Commerce City Police Department.
The suspect, who lives directly above the convenience store, said the storeâs alarm woke him and his girlfriend up.

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. â Authorities in Commerce City are searching for a missing 13-year-old who was last seen Monday at 9:45 p.m.
According to an alert from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the boy was riding his silver mountain bike along the 5400 block of Niagara Street in Commerce City Monday evening. At the time, he was wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes and a gold cross necklace. He has braces.

Despite Tuesday s near-constant snowfall, gunshots rang out across the Denver metro area and northern Colorado over a 30-hour span, resulting in a dozen reported shootings â five of which were fatal â and one police shooting in which a suspect was killed.
The shootings also came after six people were shot over the weekend in the metro area â two of whom died.
As of Wednesday at 11 a.m., all of the below shootings are still under investigation.

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. A pedestrian who was in the northbound lanes of U.S. 85 was hit and killed by a vehicle early Monday morning, according to the Commerce City Police Department.
The crash occurred at 3:15 a.m. in the 11900 block of U.S. 85, just south of East 120th Parkway, according to a Commerce City Police press release.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene, the release says.
The driver who struck the pedestrian stayed on scene and was not suspected of drugs or alcohol impairment, police said.
No additional information was released about the pedestrian or why they were in the roadway.
