QUINCY A virtual fundraiser to benefit Manet Community Heath Center a Quincy-based nonprofit that led many of the city s COVID-19 response efforts will he held at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 3.
The fundraiser, called June Bloom, will be hosted by Mark Carey from Muddhouse Media, and will feature live guests, stories of Manet s impact and more.

Sedalia Police Reports For May 3, 2021

Early Monday morning, a traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of East 16th Street and South Thompson Avenue. Following an investigation, the driver of the vehicle was determined to not have a license. Emilio Ax Xol, 46, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving Without a Valid License and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. Xol was processed and then released with a municipal court date.
Sunday morning, Officers responded to the parking lot of the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a subject check. An Officer made contact with a subject in a vehicle. The vehicle information was run through Dispatch, who confirmed the vehicle was stolen. The subject s information was run and the subject was confirmed to four Failure to Appear warrants out of Sedalia on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial R
We wanted to give them foods they actually prefer, said Joyce Guan, longtime executive director of the Wollaston Senior Center. The recipes would be suggested by the city s Chinese residents active at the center at 550 Hancock St., which has 150 members who come from Quincy, Milton, Braintree, Weymouth and Randolph. We went around and asked them what foods they would like, Guan said. We asked them to give us some names of dishes they had at home with their families, to tell us recipes, and they gave us a lot of suggestions. We collected data; they gave us a lot of support and are very excited.
