SALT LAKE CITY A Silver Alert has been canceled for a Midway man who was previously reported missing on Wednesday afternoon.
The Wasatch County Sheriff s Office had been looking for Robert Leeland Morgan, 92. He had last been seen at 782 Double Eagle Drive around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, wearing a black quarter-zip sweater and black pants, and possibly a black USC hat.
The silver alert issued for Morgan was canceled just after 7 a.m. Thursday, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety.
Morgan was found about 7 a.m. Thursday in the Alta-Snowbird area in Salt Lake County, according to a Facebook post from the sheriff s office. He was involved in a minor traffic accident, but was not injured and has been reunited with his family, the post said.
HEBER CITY Two Wasatch High School students were arrested Saturday on suspicion of making terroristic threats against the Heber City school.
The arrested students made concerning statements to a classmate on Friday, and that classmate told his parents who then went to the police, according to a joint statement from the Wasatch County School District, Heber City Police and the Wasatch County Sheriff s Office.
The two students were taken into custody by a school resource officer and transferred to a juvenile detention center. They are charged with felony threats of terrorism and threats against a school, a misdemeanor.
Classes at Wasatch High will resume as normal Monday morning, the statement says, as officials have determined there is no ongoing threat. We commend the student who had the courage to come forward and encourage students to continue to report any concerning information in the future, it says. Two Wasatch High School students are facing misdemeanor charges of threats against a school, and felony charges of threats of terrorism.
The students were taken into custody by resource officers Saturday, following statements made to another student about a possible threat against the school on Friday.
They have since been transferred to a juvenile detention center.
The investigation into the threats is ongoing, but authorities have confirmed there is no current threat to the school, and classes will resume as scheduled Monday morning.
