The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that an elderly man who went missing from Midway was found a day later on the other side of the Wasatch. Rick Brough has more.
The Sheriff’s Dispatch received a report Wednesday afternoon that 92-year-old Robert Leeland Morgan, who reportedly suffers from dementia, had left the area at about 1 p.m. He was driving a white Ford Explorer.
A Utah Silver Alert was activated. Later that afternoon, the 911 Center got a report that he may have been seen in the Cottonwood Heights area in the Salt Lake Valley.
SALT LAKE CITY A Silver Alert has been canceled for a Midway man who was previously reported missing on Wednesday afternoon.
The Wasatch County Sheriff s Office had been looking for Robert Leeland Morgan, 92. He had last been seen at 782 Double Eagle Drive around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, wearing a black quarter-zip sweater and black pants, and possibly a black USC hat.
The silver alert issued for Morgan was canceled just after 7 a.m. Thursday, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety.
Morgan was found about 7 a.m. Thursday in the Alta-Snowbird area in Salt Lake County, according to a Facebook post from the sheriff s office. He was involved in a minor traffic accident, but was not injured and has been reunited with his family, the post said.

MIDWAY, Utah â UPDATE: A Utah Silver Alert for a 92-year-old man with dementia in Utah County was canceled early Thursday morning.
Robert Leeland Morgan was last seen at 782 Double Eagle Dr. in Midway on December 16 at 2:30 p.m.
The Silver Alert was initiated because Morgan suffers from dementia.
