About Michael Swanson:
Michael Swanson is head distiller, farmer and, with his wife, Cheri Reese, owner of Far North Spirits, one of a handful of craft distilleries in the U.S. that also grows its own grain. In 2013, he built the distillery in the middle of what was a wheat field on the Swanson family farm near the Canadian border. About Martin Laberge:
Martin Laberge is the Distillery Manager at Diageo Global Supply Valleyfield. He gained a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry in 1990 and worked at Johnson’s & Johnson’s research center in Montréal from 1990 to 1996 as a research assistant for consumer products. Martin joined the Valleyfield plant in 1996 as a Production Team Leader – Process Research overseeing production from grain receiving to distillates and DDG, he also did the analytical testing required for process control and was involved in quality contro

As Director of Spirit Research & Innovation, Andrew works closely with Independent Stave Company’s distilling customers to push the envelope of what is possible in the world of spirits production.
