Bergen County Prosecutor s Office says Route 17 crash was fatal

View Comments The crash that shut down a portion of Route 17 south in Hackensack early Saturday morning was fatal, a spokeswoman for the Bergen County Prosecutor s Office said.  All the southbound lanes north of Summit Avenue were reopened after several hours , according to 511NJ.org. Hackensack police directed inquiries to the Lodi Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor s Office. Lodi Police directed inquiries to the Bergen County Sheriff s Office. Toddler drowns at Lodi Lake on Mother s Day Paramedics, Lodi Fire Department and other agencies attempted life-saving measures on the boy, according to the Lodi Police Department Author: Izzy Greenblatt Updated: 12:36 PM PDT May 10, 2021 LODI, Calif. A toddler drowned in Lodi Lake on Sunday afternoon. The Lodi Police Department got a call around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 9 about a drowning on the southeast side of Lodi Lake. When officers arrived, they started performing life-saving measures on the little boy, according to a Facebook post. A doctor was at the lake and took over performing CPR on the boy until the Lodi Fire Department arrived. Lodi Fire then started emergency resuscitation efforts on the boy before paramedics took him to Lodi Memorial Hospital, according to the post.

Mother of two kidnapped by estranged husband, Stanislaus County sheriff says According to Stanislaus County sheriff s detectives, Susana Torres, 42, was kidnapped at gunpoint by her estranged husband. Detectives believe Susana Torres, 32, was kidnapped by her estranged husband, Javier Chavez, 41, at gunpoint on the evening of April 11. According to a press release, detectives say that Chavez took Torres and her two kids outside of a market in the 600 block of Butte Avenue in Modesto around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Both children, two and eight, were dropped off by Chavez at his parent s house around 10 p.m. that night. The two-year-old is Chavez s kid.
