Council bosses are set to give ambitious plans for 120 Broadway the green light next week, in the latest major development in the area. The site is opposite the Grand Hotel - which is being converted in 18 new flats - and is just doors away from the popular Garrards restaurant. Paul Gilson, Leigh Town Council chairman, admitted the site had become an “eyesore” and welcomed all improvements.
