She created the Girls Coding Academy, won M100 000 in a BEDCO BPC Competition, joined the top 50 Digital Champions in Africa, became an ambassador of Africa Code Week and WomEng in Lesotho, was part of the UN Women delegation in Rwanda and she has taken her coding teams of girls to Ghana and as far as Dubai.

Her academy offers technology training to 80 percent girls and 20 percent boys from the age of five to the age of 23.

MASERU – A telecommunications giant, Econet Telecom Lesotho, unveiled a refurbished and easy to navigate website with a new look and features that makes visiting easier.
The website also offers more interactive experience while serving as a one-stop-shop for Econet services.
The new website, which is available on the URL www.etl.co.ls, provides viewers with all the information they need about Econet, its values, products and services, current management, corporate social initiatives as well as information on its social impact organisation, HigherLife Foundation Lesotho.
Econet’s Chief Executive Officer, Dennis Plaatjies, said that the company revamped its website to ensure easy access and give pleasant browsing experience especially now when movement is restricted due to the prevailing pandemic.
Two firms to manage tourist sites
MASERU – THE Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation (LTDC) has contracted two Basotho-owned companies to run ’Maletsunyane Falls and Butha-Buthe Visitors Comfort Facilities (VCF).
’Maletsunyane Ventures, run by a local businessman Bokang Kheekhe, will manage the VCF for the ’Maletsunyane Falls.
Southern Express, run by Motlatsi Russel, will manage the Butha-Buthe VCF.
’Maletsunyane Ventures is expected to rejuvenate tourist facilities near the 192-metre-high ’Maletsunyane Falls.
