A judge has ruled that there is probable cause to move forward with the case against a Lebanon County Police Officer charged for his role in the January 6 Capitol riot.
Joseph Fischer who was suspended without pay by the North Cornwall Township Police Department is charged with entering the Capitol and obstructing law enforcement.
During the hearing an FBI agent was called as a witness to talk about evidence that was pulled from Facebook. Fischer’s wife was also called during a subsequent detention hearing.
Cop to be Tried on Capitol Attack
(Harrisburg) A judge has ruled that there is probable cause to move forward with the case against a Lebanon County Police Officer charged for his role in the January 6 Capitol riot.
Joseph Fischer who was suspended without pay by the North Cornwall Township Police Department is charged with entering the Capitol and obstructing law enforcement.
The judge ordered the 54-year-old to be tried on charges of obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder, knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, violent entry, and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
