IRELAND is set to sizzle as temperatures could hit 21C on Thursday - making it one of the hottest days of the year so far.
The country will finally feel the heat after torrential rain and strong winds barrelled in in recent weeks.

Met Eireann also revealed the mercury could climb even higher than average towards next weekend after a miserable April and May.
The national forecaster was forced to issue yellow rain and winding warnings last week following unseasonably wet and windy downpours.
Met Eireann meteorologist Siobhan Ryan told the Irish Sun: “Obviously it’s been a very cool April and May and in some parts a very wet one.
