Thousands have gathered in solidarity with Indigenous Australians calling for a rethink of Australia Day and justice reform in Brisbaneâs CBD, in one of the largest shows of support in recent years.
Stinging sun and a global pandemic did little to deter an estimated 5000 people descending on the city on Tuesday morning, with speeches continuing into the afternoon.
Eventually leaving the park, the protest snaked through the CBD and across the Victoria Bridge, stopping along the way for dance circles and being cheered along by others.
