Readers react after a Nazi graffiti scrawled on the memorial that honours Barrows war dead has been roundly condemned. A Swastika was daubed on the Cenotaph in Barrow Park, which bears the names of nearly 900 soldiers killed in combat, alongside the names of two far-right groups , The vandalism has been described as disgusting and shocking . READERS were not impressed by the discovery of a dead jellyfish the size of a large boot, found on the shores of Wadhead Scar near Bardsea. The clear jellyfish was discovered by an Ulverston resident during a walk on the beach on Wednesday afternoon. Claire Purcell said: “Not that shocking, they live in the sea.” Pete Birtles-Smith said: “A jellyfish the size of a large boot.
