Christopher Plummer, the Academy Award-winning actor who starred in films including

Beginners, has died at the age of 91. The Canadian actor died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Connecticut, his family confirmed.
“Chris was an extraordinary man who deeply loved and respected his profession with great old fashion manners, self deprecating humor and the music of words,” Lou Pitt, his longtime friend and manager of 46 years, said in a statement. “He was a National Treasure who deeply relished his Canadian roots. Through his art and humanity, he touched all of our hearts and his legendary life will endure for all generations to come. He will forever be with us.”

Christopher Plummer, the Canadian-born Shakespearean actor who starred in films including “The Sound of Music” and “Beginners,” died on Friday morning at his home in Connecticut. He was 91, Variety reports.

The iconic actor passed away peacefully at his home in Connecticut with his wife of 53 years, Elaine Taylor, by his side, his family confirmed on Friday (05.02.21)
