David Ornstein has listed one of Arsenal’s problems after the club were dumped out of the Europa League by former employee Unai Emery and his Villarreal side.
Speaking on Twitter, the famed journalist replied to one supporter of the club that the quality of the club’s recruitment, as opposed to the size spent on transfer fees, is one of the reasons why the outfit finds itself in its current mess.
Arsenal’s recruitment has been hit or miss over the course of the last few seasons even before Mikel Arteta was hired as the club’s manager. The likes of Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi and William Saliba have all joined to high expectation, however, have failed to make the `successes with Bernd Leno, Kieran Tierney and David Luiz impressing in patches during their time at the Emirates Stadium.
Five things we learned as United beat Roma 8-5 on aggregate to reach the Europa League final
May 6, 2021
Manchester United have reached the Europa League final after 3-2 loss on the night to Roma, and a somewhat ludicrous 8-5 win on aggregate.
The tie was pretty much over from the first leg as United blew the Italian side away with 6-2 win at Old Trafford but they made hard work of tonight’s game with some shaky defending in the second half.
The win takes Ole to his first final as Manchester United boss and breaks an irritating run of losing four semi-finals in a row.

Despite United s commanding lead from the first leg, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fielded a strong side in the Italian capital and was rewarded when Edinson Cavani opened the scoring in the first half.
Edin Dzeko, who also scored at Old Trafford, nodded in an equaliser and Bryan Cristante struck soon after to give Roma some slender hope of a famous turnaround, with David de Gea making 10 saves in total to keep the scoreline down.
Cavani headed in a second midway through the second half to ease some of the nerves for United, who will face Villarreal in what will be their first cup final since Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho back in December 2018, despite Nicola Zalewski s late winner on the day.
Fernandes and Cavani partnership is clicking and it spells trouble for opponents

Bruno Fernandes and Edinson Cavani combined perfectly for the Uruguayan to head in a fantastic equaliser in Rome.
It was Cavani’s second goal of the game and while United went on to concede a late goal and lose the tie on the night, he was fantastic over the two legs.
As brilliant as Cavani was, he could not have done it without Bruno Fernandes.

Fernandes is developing a real understanding with Cavani, learning when the striker will time his runs, and where he will be.
United fans loved seeing Edinson Cavani stick up for Mason Greenwood

He showed how seriously he takes that role late in the second half in Rome.
Greenwood found himself outnumbered by two Roma defenders who started pushing him around after the ball had gone out of play, before Cavani steamed in.

Cavani reacted like he saw two classmates bullying his younger brother, and pushed Rick Karsdorp in the chest.
He was booked for his troubles. It all seemed worth it.
