As are protocols, the team sheets needed to be given to the Premier League an hour ahead of kick-off time, and both United and Liverpool complied with this, with the Premier League publishing both teams’ starting XIs.
The MEN reported United’s announced team, despite the situation looking like there was little chance of the game actually being played.

Keeping Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani is essential for Manchester United

There is a very real and unwelcome risk of losing two of them this summer.
Edinson Cavani’s contract is due to expire at the end of June, and while United have an option to extend it, he needs to be convinced to sign.
Paul Pogba has one year left remaining on his current deal, leaving the club in a tricky position.

Losing both players would be a mini-disaster for United. Edinson Cavani alone will be hard to replace.
