RTL|Update: 19.01.2021 09:29 A coalition of 14 activist groups came together to release a joint statement, addressed at the municipality of Luxembourg City.
The groups demand that the cycling lanes in the capital be better connected and, more importantly, physically separated from the roads. The coalition is made up of several cycling and road safety activist groups, as well as the Luxembourg Cycling Federation (FSCL).
The joint statement, entitled Connecting the dots , further emphasises the importance of assuring the safety of cyclists on the road: a cycling network is only as strong as its weakest link. They highlight the areas around the city park, Avenue Marie-Thérèse, and Avenue de la Liberté as in need of infrastructural improvements.
