âPics or it didn t happenâ - Instagram has undoubtedly changed the way we live and share our lives. Especially when it comes to travelling, people are increasingly drawing their destination inspiration from Instagram. Despite its size, the Grand Duchy offers an abundance of picturesque spots to fill your Instagram feed. With its lush surroundings â both in and outside of the city centre â the green heart of Europe offers a charming blend of new and old. We have picked some of our favourite spots to inspire you to (re)discover Luxembourg and get your creative juices flowing.
Just like in 2020, Luxembourg s national day celebrations will be restricted on 23 June. Luxembourg, Esch-sur-Alzette and Bettembourg will remain quiet. Dudelange and Differdange have planned some music.
In the capital, one should not expect a military parade on the Avenue de la Liberté, and even less a fireworks display. Despite the easing of pandemic restrictions, national day is looking to be quiet.
The City of Luxembourg has not yet published the programme for the festivities on its website. But it is likely that it will be, as last year, subdued.
Esch-sur-Alzette, the country s second largest city, has opted for moderation. There are no festivities on the programme, a spokesperson said. The mayor Georges Mischo (CSV) will give a speech on 22 June at 7pm that can be watched on Esch.tv and on social networks.
