Warong Nasi Pariaman is another establishment situated just beside Masjid Sultan and is also said to be the oldest surviving (started in 1948) nasi padang store in Singapore. Their food, however, is a testament to their enduring success.
Ayam Bakar (grilled chicken), Bergedil and Ayam Gulai are firm favourites as well as Ikan Bakar (grilled fish), Sambal Goreng and of course, Rendang. If you can handle your spice, add on the Sambal too.

KLANG: Veteran PKR member and Kuala Langat MP Datuk Dr Xavier Jayakumar (pic) dropped a bombshell when he quit the party with which he launched his political career in 1998.
He said he would be supporting the Perikatan Nasional government while serving his constituents as an independent MP.
Dr Jayakumar, who was water, land and natural resources minister in the previous Pakatan Harapan administration, said the current spate of events had convinced him to ditch PKR.
“While there are parties discussing the possibility of elections, this is not necessary or viable at this point of time. Our current priority should be to support the government in containing the Covid-19 pandemic, to create jobs and to secure funds to rebuild the economy.
