ELURU: At least 20 people fell sick in Komirepalli village in Denduluru mandal of West Godavari district allegedly suffering from the mysterious disease that has created terror in Eluru town in December 2020.
Out of 20 patients, eight were admitted in Eluru government hospital and the condition of the eight is said to be out of danger.
It is recalled that 648 people admitted in hospitals with the same mysterious disease of the same symptoms in Eluru and its surrounding areas in December. Almost one week the district headquarter Eluru was gripped with terror due to this disease before national level medical and other agencies visited and collected samples and also conducted tests.
25 suffer epilepsy, fever, convulsions
In yet another outbreak of mysterious disease in Komirepalli village in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, 25 villagers were taken ill with epilepsy, convulsions, giddiness, fever and other symptoms on Friday.
Patients were rushed to the Eluru District Government Headquarters Hospital and to the local Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs).
Following the directions of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Health Minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas, Chief Secretary Aditya Nath Das, Principal Secretary (Medical and Health) Anil Kumar Singhal, Commissioner Katamneni Bhaskar and other officers called on the patients at Komirepalli and enquired about their health.

No reason to panic, say officials
The number of patients suffering from the mysterious illness at Pulla village of Bhimadole mandal in West Godavari district, Andhra Oradesh increased to 29 on Wednesday.
“The patients are showing symptoms of epilepsy, and suffering from giddiness, fever, vomiting and convulsions,” according to doctors treating them at the local PHC. “The condition of the patients is stable and there is no need to panic. Medical camps have been set up and ambulances are kept ready at Pulla and the neighbouring habitations,” officials said.
