VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam on Thursday promised to provide free, safe and clean drinking water to urban residents and said the YSR Congress and its government failed in this respect.
TD politburo member Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao said here that free drinking water, as promised in the TD election manifesto, is the right of every citizen. He expressed confidence the party would win the present polls to the municipalities and corporations.

ELURU: At least 20 people fell sick in Komirepalli village in Denduluru mandal of West Godavari district allegedly suffering from the mysterious disease that has created terror in Eluru town in December 2020.
Out of 20 patients, eight were admitted in Eluru government hospital and the condition of the eight is said to be out of danger.
It is recalled that 648 people admitted in hospitals with the same mysterious disease of the same symptoms in Eluru and its surrounding areas in December. Almost one week the district headquarter Eluru was gripped with terror due to this disease before national level medical and other agencies visited and collected samples and also conducted tests.

Several special teams along with doctors are working hard to find out the mystery behind this illness. A week after this illness broke out, some of the experts say that this happened due to the abnormalities in the food of the victims. A video conference was held with the medical experts and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy was present for the conference. Two people passed away with similar symptoms but the government of Andhra Pradesh said that they had other health issues.
