While timber products accounted for two-thirds of exports, cement exports nearly increased five-fold to US$10.2m in the 1Q21. “Such a surge was possible thanks to Belarusian Cement Company’s interest in concluding long-term contracts to supply products in the course of a year. Rapeseed oil accounts for over 60% of agricultural export via BUCE in Q1 Archive photo MINSK, 16 April (BelTA) – Rapeseed oil accounted for almost 60% of total export of agricultural products via the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, BelTA learned from BUCE s Spokesman Roman Yaniv. “In Q1 2021, rapeseed oil was the most popular agricultural product among foreign companies on BUCE. It accounted for almost 60% of total export transactions in agricultural products. In Q1 2021, foreign participants of trading sessions bought 18,900 tonnes of rapeseed oil worth $21.3 million, which represented a 3.4-fold increase in natural terms and a 5-fold increase in monetary terms year-on-year,” Roman Yaniv said.

BUCE reports 8-fold increase in purchases by Belarusian meat processing plants Archive photo MINSK, 9 April (BelTA) – In Q1 2021, purchases by Belarusian meat processing enterprises boosted on the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) soared approximately by eight times year-on-year, BelTA learned from BUCE s Spokesman Roman Yaniv. Belarusian meat processing enterprises bought almost 5,500 tonnes of meat and semi-finished products worth a total of Br28.2 million at BUCE s trading sessions in Q1 2021. Their purchases of meat products soared by 7.8 times in natural terms and by 8.4 times in monetary terms over the same period of 2020. Domestic manufacturers satisfied more than half of the demand from Belarusian meat processing enterprises and import transactions accounted for the rest of the demand.
