Enterprises of Russia s Chelyabinsk Oblast eager to sell metal products via BUCE Photo courtesy of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange MINSK, 17 March (BelTA) – A number of major Russian metal producers and metal traders have mentioned their plans to sell more metal products via the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE). These companies took part in a webinar on exchange trade with Belarus. Organized with assistance of the Economic Development Ministry of Russia s Chelyabinsk Oblast, the webinar took place on 17 March, BUCE Press Secretary Roman Yaniv told BelTA. In particular, interest in more actively using BUCE s capabilities was mentioned by representatives of PAO Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant, OOO Foundry, and OOO MMK Trading House. The companies are primarily interested in selling more ferrous rolled products that enjoy a steadily high demand among Belarusian industrial enterprises.

In January-February, Russian companies made transactions worth $12 million, which was almost three times as much over the same period a year prior. Russia placed third in the list of BUCE s major export markets, ousting Germany from the top three. Lithuania and Latvia ranked first and second with $32 million and $18 million in transactions respectively. Ltd said during an online meeting to discuss supplies of timber products, which was organized by the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE), BelTA learned from BUCE s Spokesman Roman Yaniv. BUCE sells Belarus lumber worth $2 6m to China

In monetary terms, this is the largest batch of lumber sold through BUCE. The products will be delivered to customers in China. Another distinctive feature of this trading session was a high level of competition between buyers, which allowed Belarusian exporters to earn extra $220,000 due to the price increase.
