Lenoir County authorities investigated two shootings Monday The Lenoir County Sheriff s Office are investigating two shootings that occurred Monday in La Grange.  According to a release from Sheriff Ronnie Ingram, a shooting incident occurred at 303 Lenoir Street in La Grange; it was reported to the Lenoir County Sheriff s Office at 1:47 a.m. Monday morning.  The victim, who is still alive, was transported by Lenoir County EMS to an area hospital. The case is being investigated by LCSO detectives. Another shooting incident occurred Monday afternoon at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Promise Land Road in La Grange The investigation is ongoing at this time. Detectives and deputies were on the scene interviewing witnesses and completing the crime scene investigation.

Lenoir County murder suspect turns self in after search Kinston/Jones Free Press (kfp) A man turned himself in to officials Monday night after being accused of murder just one day prior.  According to the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, detectives served a warrant on Rashawn Shareef Pridgen, who was allegedly involved in the shooting death of 27-year-old Jalen Jamal Johnson of Grifton that occurred Sunday afternoon in La Grange.  Pridgen turned himself in to authorities Monday, Feb. 1, at approximately 7 p.m. He was confined in the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and was given no bond pending his first appearance in court.

Lenoir County Sheriff s search for suspect in Monday night shooting

Kinston/Jones Free Press (kfp) A late night shooting in Kinston saw one person shot and law enforcement asking for the public s help to identify those involved.  At approximately 10:30 p.m. Monday night, deputies with the Lenoir County Sheriff s Office received a 9-1-1 call about a shooting incident on Fred Everett Road.  When first responders arrived they found one victim was shot during the incident. The victim was transported by Lenoir County Emergency Services from the scene but the name of the person is not being released at this time, according to a release from the LCSO.  The victim s injuries are also unknown.
