Coronavirus wasn’t on Amie Morris’ mind when she first got a sore throat in early March last year. Since she hadn’t travelled recently, and didn’t fit most of the criteria, it wasn’t on her doctor s mind either. So when her test came back positive, she was shocked.
“I was like: oh my God … there was so much stuff all over the news about it, and I can’t believe I’ve got it,” she said.

Ella Mae Schmidt/Sinclair passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 6, 2021. She was born Feb. 14, 1927 in South Dakota to parents William Kirk and Ella Bertha Starks.
She moved to Oregon when she was 18 years old and met Merle Sinclair whom she married on March 6, 1948. They welcomed the birth of their 5 children, Pamela, Linda, Mitchell (Buzz), Rodney (Shorty) and Carolyn.
In 1958 they moved to Wilton fulfilling her husband s dream of having a dairy. It soon became her passion as well. In 1966 they moved to Galt and continued their dairy business until the passing of her husband of 31 years on July 21, 1979.
In 1983 she married Milton Schmidt. They were married approximately 10 happy years before his passing.
