Alpine: Ashley Bailey and Alek Guziur qualified for the U14 Rocky Alpine Championships in Vail this week. Riley Riggs placed fourth in Super G and eighth overall, and Sal Stokeld placed 20th overall last week at Council Cup in Ski Cooper. Jessica Heid is competing in the Rocky Mountain U12 Championships in Winter Park next week.

Apprentice electricians, teaching assistants and engineers who study at the College of West Anglia s Wisbech campus were awarded prizes for outstanding achievements.
Harry Jackson, who works for Stainless Metalcraft in Chatteris and was also a finalist at last year’s WorkSkills UK competition, was named CWA s apprentice of the year.
Amber Maryon, who works at Marshland High School in Wisbech, was named CWA s teaching assistant apprentice of the year.

Court documents name 10 corrections officers charged for death of Jonathan Henoche
Charges were sworn Friday against 10 correctional officers for the death of Jonathan Henoche at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary.
Henoche was awaiting trial for murder when he died in custody in November 2019. Three corrections officers have been charged with manslaughter. They have been identified in court documents as Jason Anthony, David Constantine and Jeff Thistle. Thistle is also charged with failing to provide the necessities of life.
Seven other officers have been charged with criminal negligence causing death. They are Daniel Dalton, Stefan Cumby, Riley Ricks, Scott Dwyer, Chris Coady, Lori Williams and Jenine Rickert.
