A woman has been charged with high-range drink driving after she was allegedly caught more than six and a half times over the legal limit in the Hunter.
Police received a tip off from the public, after the woman was reportedly seen driving a black Audi in a dangerous manner.
Officers say they stopped the vehicle after they saw the car swerve and hit a gutter on Nelson Bay Road at Williamtown.
The 31-year-old returned a positive roadside breath test and was arrested and taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station.
She underwent a breath analysis and allegedly returned a reading of 0.337.
A man has been charged with commercial drug supply following a vehicle stop in Newcastle.
About 5.30pm yesterday (Friday 7 May 2021), police from Port Stephens – Hunter Police District stopped a car on Maitland Road in Sandgate.
Officers spoke to the driver, a 58-year-old man, before conducting a search of his vehicle.
During the search, police located and seized methylamphetamine and cocaine.
The drugs were seized, and the man was arrested and taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station.
A short time later a search warrant was executed at the man’s Fullerton Cove home. During the search, police located and seized further prohibited drugs, along with a large sum of cash, silver and gold bars, and silver bullions.
Police hope CCTV footage will help them track down the people responsible for a break-in at a Raymond Terrace automotive business last month.
The cameras appear to show two men casing-out Gary’s Auto Centre on Port Stephens Street around 1:20am on March 4.
The pair return around 20 minutes later, before one climbs under the fence and enters the premises.
They leave a short time later and return with a third man around 2:20am and again enter the premises before walking off along Kangaroo Street.
Luckily, nothing was taken from the business.
However, officers are still looking to track down the men involved in the break and enter.

Officers say the 29-year-old man was wanted on four outstanding arrest warrants.
When police arrived at the home, the man was inside.
He tried to leave through a roof cavity, but was stopped by officers, before he was arrested and taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station.
The 29-year-old was charged with a string of offences including stalking/intimidation and disqualified driving.
He was refused bail to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court tomorrow.
