Man Charged With Unarmed Robbery of Banks in Taunton, Raynham TAUNTON A Taunton man has been arrested and charged in connection with bank robberies in Taunton and Raynham. In a joint press release, Taunton and Raynham Police report that Roger A. Viveiros, 55, of Taunton is charged by the Taunton Police Department with unarmed robbery, attempting to commit a crime, and intimidation to steal from a depository. He is also charged with unarmed robbery by the Raynham Police Department. He was scheduled to be arraigned today in Taunton District Court. The incident occurred at the Seasons Corner Market in Raynham, Massachusetts, when the Raynham Police Department received a call at approximately 6:07 p.m. to reports that the establishment was being robbed by a female suspect. Authorities were told that an adult female, who brandished a hypodermic needle she claimed to be infected with AIDS, demanded money before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash. However, a witness was able to record the suspect s license plate before she made her escape and a notice was subsequently issued to surrounding communities to be on the lookout for the suspect and vehicle, according to a statement by the Raynham Police Department.

December 14, 2020 10:29 pm , RAYNHAM, Mass. (WLNE)- Raynham police arrested a woman for allegedly robbing a convenience store with a hypodermic needle Monday evening. In a statement, police said 34-year-old Ashley Demers of East Wareham entered the Seasons Corner Market on New State Highway while brandishing the needle and claiming to be infected with AIDS. Demers managed to escape with an undisclosed amount of cash, but police were able to get her license plate and a vehicle description, police said. After putting out an alert, it was determined that the vehicle matched a description from a similar robbery in New Bedford, according to the statement.
