RAYNHAM, Mass. (WLNE)- Raynham police arrested a woman for allegedly robbing a convenience store with a hypodermic needle Monday evening.
In a statement, police said 34-year-old Ashley Demers of East Wareham entered the Seasons Corner Market on New State Highway while brandishing the needle and claiming to be infected with AIDS.
Demers managed to escape with an undisclosed amount of cash, but police were able to get her license plate and a vehicle description, police said.
After putting out an alert, it was determined that the vehicle matched a description from a similar robbery in New Bedford, according to the statement.
