Kaizer Chiefs legend Gardner Seale has now changed his tune about his former club after their recent achievements.
For the first time in their history the Glamour Boys reached the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League following a 2-2 draw with Horoya.
That was followed by a 1-1 draw with Baroka this week, which has brought back a sense of reality, but the team has done enough to change one legend s outlook for the season. I m very, very impressed even though I didn t expect to come this far based on what Kaizer Chiefs has displayed in the domestic league, Seale tells

Kaizer Chiefs legend Robson Muchichwa has shared his thoughts on the club s inability to find a suitable left-back in recent times.
Since the likes of Rudolf Seale, David Nyathi, Bradley Carnell and Muchichwa, Amakhosi have tried the likes of Godfrey Walusimbi, Simphiwe Mtsweni, Lethlogonolo Mirwa, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya and Yagan Sasman in the position.
All of those have struggled to make the position their own, with Tsepo Masilela arguably the best left-back the club has had in more recent times.
Finding a good left-back has proved very difficult for South Africa s biggest club and recently they have even been using left-winger Philani Zulu.

Kaizer Chiefs legend Rudolf Seale has slammed Willard Katsande for playing on his phone after being substituted against SuperSport United.
Following his solid performance for Amakhosi in Saturday s 1-1 draw against Matsatsanta, Katsande suffered a shoulder injury and was substituted in the 64th minute.
After he was substituted, the Zimbabwean veteran was seen busy on his phone while the remainder of the match played out.
Seale says former coach Phillipe Troussier would have dealt strongly with players who allowed such distractions during work hours. I thought it was totally wrong and unprofessional of him to do so, Seale tells
Aargh, for starters my brother even now I m still in good space with Ntsie, Seale tells
KickOff.com. I was the one who seen more game time than him you see. So that is for people to tell [who was the first-choice]. I mean we got so many Kaizer Chiefs supporters, Orlando Pirates supporters that used to watch Kaizer Chiefs left-backs. They should know who saw the most game time you know. But there was never a problem between me and Ntsie. The problem was we re fighting for the same position. But to say we don t see eye to eye, we don t share a seat in a bus, no no no no! In some games where we were about to go into extra time you would find the very same Ntsie shaking my legs. For the good of the club we didn t allow injuries to put us on the bench. I remember Ntsie having a flu, and after the pre-match meal I saw him taking some syrup medicines because he was starting the game.
Some of the clubs they are taking very serious the youth policies, Palacios tells
KickOff.com. You can see especially in the line-ups when they introduce the young players in the senior team. This shows we have a talent in South Africa. The only thing is we need to be patient, we need to continue guiding, and we must continue give opportunity. That doesn t mean you give 10 minutes, five minutes, and you don t include him again just because a team lost or dropped points. The development of a youngster must not just stop now just because he has started training with a senior team, it must continue. And that will be good for the national team. We promote young player, we announce in the media, we announce in the social media, but he never gets a chance to play. This is also wrong because you destroy the spirit of the players.
