Mar 2, 2021 - 09:35 pm By Lovemore Moyo Another retired former Kaizer Chiefs player has come out to describe the toxic environment that was allegedly cultivated at the club in the 1990s. From first coming to South Africa to work in the mines earning R600, retired Lesotho international Lekoane Lekoane then found himself signed up with Kaizer Chiefs in 1995 arriving to an environment that was not kind to players from outside Soweto. Much like David Modise and Marco Mthembu told KickOff.com in exclusive interviews last year, Lekoane has now come out to further confirm their stories about how they were reportedly victimised by certain figures.

Augusto Palacios comments on PSL clubs youth policies

Some of the clubs they are taking very serious the youth policies, Palacios tells KickOff.com. You can see especially in the line-ups when they introduce the young players in the senior team. This shows we have a talent in South Africa. The only thing is we need to be patient, we need to continue guiding, and we must continue give opportunity. That doesn t mean you give 10 minutes, five minutes, and you don t include him again just because a team lost or dropped points. The development of a youngster must not just stop now just because he has started training with a senior team, it must continue. And that will be good for the national team. We promote young player, we announce in the media, we announce in the social media, but he never gets a chance to play. This is also wrong because you destroy the spirit of the players.
