BUTTERFIELD TOWNSHIP A Remus man who went missing earlier this month was found dead, according to the Michigan State Police.
Shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday, Troopers from the MSP Houghton Lake Post were sent to South Jeffs Road near Cadillac Road in Butterfield Township in Missaukee County for a report of a deceased male in a gray suburban, according to one Tweet on the Post’s Twitter account.
MSP Mt. Pleasant troopers responded to the scene as well after it was determined that the vehicle belonged to endangered missing person Richard Lee Wymer, according to another Tweet by the Post.

REMUS Michigan State Police are looking for the public s help in locating Richard Lee Wymer, a 70 year-old Remus man who was last seen Sunday morning.
Wymer was last seen Sunday shoveling his driveway in the 7000 block of 10th Avenue in Wheatland Township, according to a news release from the Michigan State Police.
At about 10 a.m., Wymer left his residence in a 2000 gray Chevy Suburban traveling northbound on M-20.
Wymer left his wallet, credit cards, cash, cell phone and his favorite knife at home. His vehicle had about 1/3 of a tank of gas with minimal spare change in it. It is unknown if there was more money inside the vehicle.
