Michigan Tech University Huskies will see a slight rise to their tuition in the 2021–22 academic year.
Michigan Tech President Richard Koubek said he doesn’t expect the increase to impact students who plan to attend this year.
“The board did vote to have a tuition increase of just about 3% at their spring meeting. First of all we have a very vigorous scholarship program for students both academically and those who have financial needs. And, that;’s a big part of tech’s profile. Secondly, though, there is funding from the government as part of the recovery act and we are distributing some of those funds as well. As you know we’ve lifted the mask mandates. We’ve opened back up. Our staff and faculty are back on campus and we expect full dormitories and the hockey team to have a full stadium this fall.”
