Clarksville runners and walkers prepare to return to outside activities

Queen City Road Race winner Lisa Carlock aims to defend her title

The Queen City Road Race returns to Clarksville Saturday, May 29 after a one-year absence.

Check out the Stroller Strong Moms of Clarksville

Stroller Strong Moms isn’t just a fitness group for moms. It s a community. At least that’s how Anne Perrault, co-owner of the Clarksville chapter of Stroller Strong Moms, feels about it.  On a typical morning, what spectators on the outside aren t privy to are the rigorous, hour-long, weekday morning trainings that begin at 9:30 a.m.  The style could be likened to boot camp, with a focus on high intensity interval training and station rotation through exhausting movements that the mothers make look effortless.  The strollers, of course, carry children from infancy to 4 years old. While participating women look like ordinary moms in neon, spandex and sweats trying to stay in shape, there’s a lot more going on beneath the surface; an entire network of support.
