A trio of seats in the town, all previously held by the Conservatives, went to Labour after votes were counted at the Radlett Centre on Saturday. The party claimed both county council seats in Borehamwood as well as the vacant borough council seat in the Kenilworth ward. Cowley Hill Labour councillor Richard Butler secured victory in Borehamwood South in the Hertfordshire County Council elections - the first time Labour have won the seat in 20 years.
Watling Street, Radlett The people behind a planning document that will help shape development over the coming years have thanked residents for their support. The majority of residents in Radlett have voted to support the Radlett Neighbourhood Plan following the 2021 local elections held last week. Due to the support it received, the policies in the plan will now be taken into account by Hertsmere Borough Council when new planning applications in the Radlett area are determined. A total of 2,842 votes were cast, of which 2,127 were in favour of adopting the Radlett plan. The votes were counted at the Radlett Centre

Liberal Democrat Laurence Brass has been selected by residents as the new Hertfordshire county councillor for north Bushey following the 2021 local elections. Mr Brass election is a notable because the seat had been held by Conservative representative Jane West, who was vying to extend her term in the area. Mr Brass has lived in Bushey since 1972, and served as a Hertsmere borough councillor in the 70s before he was forced to give up his political career when he became a judge.
