The Gautam Buddha Nagar Police on Wednesday arrested four persons in connection with unauthorised COVID 19 vaccination in Dadri town of the district.
On Tuesday, four persons were detained after a team of the district health department raided Gopal Pathology Lab after it was ascertained that 18 people were vaccinated with the unauthorised vaccine at the camp. The premises were sealed, and more than 200 vials were seized.
At present, only two vaccines: Covishield and Covaxin are approved for use in India.
‘No permission taken’
Deepak Ohri, Chief Medical Officer, Gautam Buddha Nagar described it as a “fraud” exercise. “No permission was taken from the district health department for the camp. When we came to know about a vaccination drive being conducted in Dadri through social media, I sent a team to look into the matter.”

GREATER NOIDA: Two persons, including a 45-year-old woman, died in two separate accidents in Greater Noida on Saturday. The first accident took place early in the morning when an Eeco van crashed into a stationary truck on NH-34. The helper of the truck died on the spot.
Police said the Eeco was travelling towards Ghaziabad when it crashed into the truck around 7.30am. Dharmendra Sharma, the SHO of Badalpur police station, said the truck helper was guiding the driver to reverse the vehicle when the van hit him.
“The Eeco first hit the helper, Krishnamurti, before crashing into the truck. He got crushed between the two vehicles and died on the spot,” Sharma said. The truck driver fled the spot. Three youths who were in the Eeco Vikas, Prince and Pradeep, all from Muradnagar suffered injuries. They were rushed to a nearby hospital and were referred to Safdarjung hospital.

Activists asked for police action after a video of the camels went viral
NOIDA: Camels being seen at wedding venues in Greater Noida has become the talk of the town a practice facing strong opposition from animal rights activists.
A few days ago, three men were arrested for transporting camels to a wedding in Dankaur. Within a week to the previous incident, a video of camels at another wedding function in Dadri went viral.
In the video, the camels all decked up with accessories could be seen sitting outside the venue. Activists of the local unit of the People for Animals (PFA) have complained against the organisers.
