The Karnataka Rail Infrastructure Development Enterprise (K-RIDE) is likely to take up work on the second corridor of Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (
BSRP) between Baiyappanahalli terminal and
Chikkabanavara on priority. Named ‘Mallige’, the stretch comprises 14
stations and passes through Banaswadi,
Hebbal,
Yeshwanthpur and
Jalahalli. Tenders for the civil work are likely to be floated in a month’s time.
