Hundreds of families living at the Kamgar Putala slum, one of the oldest slums located in the heart of the city near the district and sessions court in Shivajinagar, have approached the Bombay High Court (HC) against their alleged relocation to Lohegaon 15 km away under the slum rehabilitation scheme.

Bombay High Court, seeking disqualification of two corporators of
Khadki Cantonment Board (KCB) under the anti-defection law and stalling of the civic body’s upcoming election on January 1. However, the HC has allowed the board to conduct the election, but made its result subject to the outcome of the petition filed by Bagwe.
