Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has handed over an Indian citizen who was critically injured after being shot by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) while trying to illegally enter Bangladesh through Kurigram s Fulbari border.
Members of BSF 192 Battalion s Jhikri camp in Cooch Behar received Milon Miah (18) after he was handed over to them by BGB during a flag meeting held at Anantapur border in Fulbari upazila of Kurigram last night, reports our Lalmonirhat correspondent quoting Lt Col SM Touhidul Alam, commanding officer (CO) of Lalmonirhat 15 BGB Battalion.

Two children were electrocuted today from an illegal electric connection at Balatari village in Phulbari upazila of Kurigram.
The deceased were cousins Al-Amin (11), son of Mominul Islam, and Alimul Haque (6), son of Azidul Islam of the village. Al-Amin was a student of class five, and Alimul of class one at Balatari Government Primary School, reports our Lalmonirhart correspondent.
One local Abu Bakkar Miah of the village was irrigating his paddy field using an underground electricity cable connection from his house illegally. The two children went to collect plums from a tree while they were electrocuted and fell unconscious on the spot, said Chhakir Uddin, grandfather of the children.
