Subscriber only A woman jammed a police officer s fingers in a door when he tried to force his way into a Rockhampton residence while searching for a wanted juvenile. The woman, 48, pleaded guilty in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on May 24 to one count of obstructing police. Police prosecutor Clancy Fox said police attended a Koongal residence at 7am on April 24, looking for a wanted person. He said the defendant answered the door, however, she refused to open the screen door for police to enter. Mr Fox said the police tried to force entry twice, with the defendant pushing the officer back on the first occasion, and the officer s fingers being jammed on the second occasion.

Police caught a man with a knife and a pipe in North Rockhampton who said he was unaware he could not carry the knife publicly.
Kaleb William Thomas Ross, 20, pleaded guilty in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on May 18 to contravening police directions, possessing a pipe, and possessing a knife in a public place.
The court heard that on April 27 at 2.53pm, police pulled over a car on Randwick Street.
They searched the vehicle, in which Ross was a passenger, and found a backpack on the back seat that contained a small fold-out knife and a used glass smoking pipe wrapped in a towel.
“We gathered all the information we had and were able to place him at an address and he was taken into custody without further incident,” he said.
“We thank the public for their assistance.”
Mr Rankin was due to reappear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
He was charged with one count each of dangerous driving, evade police, fail to properly dispose of a needle and two counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possess dangerous drugs and unlicensed driving.

The 22-year-old Allenstown man was charged on Saturday with one count each of dangerous driving, evade police, fail to properly dispose of a needle and two counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possess dangerous drugs and unlicensed driving.
He is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Monday.
A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged last week in relation to the alleged offences.
Police continue to appeal for public assistance to locate Demi Warcon, 29, who they believe can assist with investigations into multiple allegations of stealing vehicles and driving dangerously through local streets on May 20.
