O’Neill has conducted a prolonged campaign against Malcouronne, his wife and children, since they moved in to their Shakespeare Rd house in mid-2018. In mid-2019, Judge David Harvey issued restraining orders against both of them. Malcouronne successfully appealed that decision and the restraining order against him was removed. The order against O’Neill remained in place, with High Court judge Justice Karen Clark describing her as “the indisputable and relentless harasser”. Within days of Justice Clark’s decision coming out, O’Neill served Malcouronne with a summons alleging that he had breached the restraining order against him.

A man accused of raping and assaulting a 94-year-old Napier woman in her home has been granted continued name suppression. The man, 25, is facing nine charges, including rape, assault, burglary, threatening to kill, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and impeding the breathing of the woman by applying pressure to her neck. One of those charges relates to a separate incident. He appeared in the Napier District Court via video link from prison on Wednesday. Interim name suppression had been granted at an earlier appearance.
The Number One Shoes offending also involved online posts to a shoe fetish forum. Collins said he would not suppress the facts of the case, although he noted he could not control what “keyboard warriors” on social media would write. Wylie had hit a low point late last year and early this year, and had sought professional help. “To your exceptional credit, you had succeeded at high school and you had become a graduate. You got a degree,” the judge told Wylie.
Stuff has reported that in 2020 Wylie was a student teacher at Manawatū schools. Wylie’s mother, who lives in Canada, told a report writer Wylie had lost his job and his anonymity.

Malachai Wylie appeared in the Palmerston North District Court on Wednesday a month after pleading guilty to two counts of offensive behaviour and one of theft.
Newshub revealed in May Wylie was allegedly stealing shoes from his co-workers at Number One Shoes in Palmerston North, defiling them by spitting or ejaculating into them and then posting pictures of the shoes on a fetish site.
