MONSEY, Rockland County (WABC) An investigation is underway after a store in Rockland County burst into flames Thursday afternoon.
According to the Ramapo Police Department, a patrol officer saw smoke near Orchard Street and Main Street in the Monsey area around 12:35 p.m.
After a brief search, police say the officer located the source of the smoke at a store on 19 Main Street.

Several roads are closed in Rockland County due to high winds that have knocked down trees and utility poles.
According to the Ramapo Police, the following roads are closed:
Route 202 near Orchard Circle: A tree is down blocking one lane of traffic on Route 202. The roadway is open to westbound traffic going towards Suffern. Eastbound traffic going towards Haverstraw is being diverted onto Mayer Drive.
Mayer Drive: A tree is down of Mayer Drive between E Mayer Drive and Victoria Road. Wires are down with the tree. Mayer Drive is closed between E Mayer Drive and Victory Road.
After an intensive 14 month manhunt, the New York State Police and the FBI Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force located Murphy inside a residence in the town of Ramapo, Rockland County. He was then transported to the Orange County jail and remanded without bail.
