Police are on the scene of a crash that took place after a woman lost control of her vehicle when a driver passed her on the left-hand side, according to authorities.
The woman crashed into a clump of trees on Route 306 in the Pomona section of Ramapo late Monday morning, Dec. 21, Ramapo Police said.
The driver told officers another vehicle was passing her on the left and she got scared and lost control of the vehicle.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.

An Orange County man was arrested for DWI/Drugs after being stopped by police for a headlight violation.
The 30-year-old Warwick man was arrested around 10:20 p.m., Monday, Dec. 14, after being stopped by a Ramapo Police officer for a headlight violation on Orange Turnpike in the Village of Sloatsburg.
During the stop, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle as he approached to speak with the driver, police said.
After making contact with the driver, the officer observed a lit marijuana cigarette on the dashboard. The driver showed signs of impairment while speaking with the officer.

Police in Rockland County are attempting to locate the owner of a dirt bike that was abandoned by a teen when he fled from police.
Ramapo Police said the dirt bike was recovered on Wednesday, Dec. 16 when a 16-year-old Airmont teen was stopped by police for driving the unregistered vehicle.
After stopping, the teen fled into the woods but was captured a short distance away.
Police said there are inconsistencies regarding ownership.

A Rockland County teen was issued nine traffic tickets after he was nabbed driving an unregistered dirt bike.
The 16-year-old Airmont teen was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 16, after a Ramapo Police officer spotted the dirt bike being driven on Route 202, said the Ramapo Police.
The driver was not wearing a helmet and when the officer attempted to stop the bike, the teen dismounted and fled into the woods, police said.
Following a brief foot chase, the officer arrested him.
The teen was charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. He was also issued nine traffic tickets.

A man was arrested for allegedly coughing on another customer at an area Walmart several times after an eagle-eyed police officer spotted him during a traffic stop.
The incident took place on Monday, December 14, in Rockland County at Walmart in the Village of Airmont, said the Ramapo Police.
It was alleged that the man, an Orange County resident, unprovoked coughed on another customer several times. The man then left the store, police said.
With the current COVID-19 pandemic, the customer became concerned over the possibility of being exposed to the virus.
Police obtained a video of the man from the customer who was coughed on and shared it on social media and with other officers.
