The Perry Community School District will kick-off next fall as members of a new athletic conference.
The Heart of Iowa Conference recently approved the resolution that allows Perry to join, beginning with the fall season. The vote was unanimous, 7-0, in favor of allowing Perry to join the new conference.
The final step for this change will be for the Perry School Board to approve the move at their regular meeting in February which shouldn’t be an issue as the Board was behind the idea of leaving the Raccoon River Conference and explore joining the Heart of Iowa.
