Paramedics responded to a shooting report at 10:50 p.m. Saturday, May 1 near N. Adams and Emmet streets, said Huron Valley Ambulance. One victim was transported to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital with serious injuries, officials said. Paramedics required support from Ypsilanti Fire Department paramedics to assist with medical treatment, officials said. Officers from the Ypsilanti Police Department also responded to the 10:50 p.m. alert from Washtenaw County Central Dispatch. Detectives are currently investigating the incident.

Officers were called to a domestic disturbance at 2 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, at a home in the 300 block of South Street in Ypsilanti where two individuals were fighting and one was believed to have a handgun, Ypsilanti police said. The suspected allegedly pointed the gun at the caller and pulled the trigger, but it failed to fire, police said.
