Barricaded gunman situation in Ypsilanti ends with suspect nowhere to be found

YPSILANTI, MI – A barricaded gunman believed to be inside an Ypsilanti home and allegedly assaulting a loved one could not be found when police entered the home, according to the Ypsilanti Police Department.
Officers were called to a domestic disturbance at 2 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, at a home in the 300 block of South Street in Ypsilanti where two individuals were fighting and one was believed to have a handgun, Ypsilanti police said.
The suspected allegedly pointed the gun at the caller and pulled the trigger, but it failed to fire, police said.
